Designed for riders dealing with horses that exhibit dangerous behaviors like bolting, rearing and bucking, making it ideal for those struggling to control or ride their horses safely. This program addresses common issues such as fear, trust problems, and resistance to being ridden. Riders can expect a safer, more manageable horse, improved confidence and control, and a stronger horse-rider bond. There is a minimum 30 day commitment on corrective behavior training.

What Types of problem behaviors do you address?

We specialize in training horses with rearing, bucking, biting and bolting issues.

How Do you assess my horse's behavior?

Our trainers conduct a thorough behavioral assessment to identify the root causes and triggers of the problematic behavior. One of our trainers can come out to where you have your horse or you can schedule time to bring them to our facility.

Can I be involved in the training process?

Yes, owner involvement is encouraged. We provide rider education and hands-on training to ensure you can effectively manage and maintain progress. Once we feel the horse is ready and it is safe, we will schedule multiple transitions sesssions. Our intention is to ensure you and your horse feel confident before departing West U.

What methods do you use in training?

We use a combination of desensitization, positive reinforcement, and personalized training plans tailored to each horse's needs. While they are at our facility, they will be handled and ridden at least 5 days a week.

How long does the training program take?

The duration varies based on the severity of the behavior and the horse’s progress. Most programs last between 4 to 12 weeks.

What can I expect as a result of the training?

You can expect a safer, more manageable horse, increased rider confidence, and a stronger bond between you and your horse.

What if my horse shows multiple problematic behaviors?

We create customized training plans that address all identified issues simultaneously. Depending on what behaviors we need to correct will determine how long the training program will take. 30 days is our minimum for all training for correcting behaviors.

Do you offer follow-up support?

Yes, we provide follow-up support to ensure long-term success and address any ongoing concerns. We will schedule a call with in the first week after you bring your horse home. We can schedule an hour onsite visit after 2 weeks for an additional fee.

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling my horse in the program?

A veterinary check-up is required to rule out any medical issues contributing to the behavior and that they have had their hooves trimmed.
